  1. Financial Information eXchange (FIX) is an electronic protocol established in 1992 for international real-time exchange of information about securities markets and transactions. IBKR offers a proprietary FIX solution for clients who want to use a CTCI (Computer-to-Computer Interface) to connect to our trading system.
  2. One of the approximately five times during the forex trading day when a large amount of currency must be bought or sold to fill a commercial client’s orders. These times are typically associated with market volatility.
